Unlike traditional point drains, a linear drain is long and narrow, often placed along one edge of the shower. This design allows the shower floor to slope in only one direction—toward the drain—simplifying tile installation, minimizing cuts, and reducing the chance of uneven spots where water can collect. Freestanding Tub Placement and Natural Light
A freestanding soaking tub is positioned between the his-and-hers vanities and angled beneath the oversized square window to make the most of natural light. We coordinated structural support, drain alignment, and perimeter waterproofing during rough-in to accommodate the tub’s weight and exposure to moisture.
His and Hers Vanity Design for Daily Use
As part of this bathroom remodel, the layout includes separate his-and-hers stained vanities with quartz countertops and brushed stainless steel fixtures. The husband’s vanity fits precisely between the shower and window, maximizing usable space without crowding the layout, while the wife’s vanity expands along a longer wall to incorporate extra drawer storage for improved organization.
